European Championship
Snooker 2007 Ireland
Hi everyone
I'm in Ireland at the moment, I arrived last week (tuesday) and I go back home on sunday. I wish it was already sunday because I had enough here, there isn't much to do so 12 days is a long time when your borred
Anyway I wasn't able to update my website because the hotel has got some problems with the internet.
Here are my group results:
Wendy - Anna Prisjaznuka (Latvia)= 3-0
Frame 1: 65(32)-21
Frame 2: 65(37)-8
Frame 3: 50-49
Wendy - Rona Bareket (Israel)= 3-0
Frame 1: 92(35)-8
Frame 2: 73(37)-3
Frame 3: 97(47)-11
Wendy - Elvire Perier(France)= 3-0
Frame 1: 64(49)-16
Frame 2: 65-11
Frame 3: 71-25
Wendy - Aino Pehkonen(Finland): 3-0 (FF)
She broke her arm so she didn't come to the tournament.
Wendy - Michelle Sherwin(Ireland)
Frame 1: 67-23
Frame 2: 67-37
Frame 3: 60(40)-2
So I was number 1 in my group and I didn't drop a frame so I was seeded number 1.
This morning we started playing the last 16 I had to play against Binon Candide(Belgium) I won 3-0
Frame 1: 71(60)-1
Frame 2: 60-26
Frame 3: 64-23
A few hours ago we played the quarterfinals I had to play again against a Belgium player Isabelle Jonckheere I won 4-0
Frame 1: 58-32
Frame 2: 68(44)-22
Frame 3: 77(32)-33
Frame 4: 81(59)-1
Actually i'm playing pretty good considering i'm not practising anymore, The reason why i'm not practising anymore is that I opened my own snooker and pool club one year ago so i'm working all the time. The reason why I opened my own club is because 3 or 4 years ago they finished the tabacco sponsorship in England and the ladies circuit finished completely. So there are only a few snooker tournaments during the year. I wish that someone would come up with a new circuit and good price money so I can go and play again
Hi Everyone
I'm back home again, I didn't had the chance to change my website in Ireland anymore because they had problems with the internet again. I won my semi final 4-1 against a Russian girl.
The final was the same as 3years ago Wendy Jans - Reanne Evans.
3 years ago I was the one who had won 5-3 but this year I was the other way around and I lost 5-2
It wasn't a very good final although we did have some breaks like 60,50,44,35,... the biggest problem was that we had to play the final in a different arena, the lights we terrible, there was no carpet on the floor it's no excuse that i lost not at all it's the same for the both of us but we both didn't play our usual game just because we had to get used to the new conditions, if the new conditions were good then it wasn't a big adjustment. Even the men's semis and final wasn't very good also because they had problems to adjust to it. It's a shame that they did that because all the players were playing pretty good in the early rounds.
